Now I'm kind of new to the goth scene, I've been collecting and "gothing up" my wardrobe but sometimes goth clothes can be expensive and as a teen this poses as a problem. But this doesn't have to be the case, you can make your own clothes while being eco friendly!
I had a long sleaved black plain shirt in my wardrobe that looked to plain to wear, so i decided to lay it down on cardboard (always be safe) And cut some holes in it, this instantly made it look cooler! Afterwards I have a make your own jewellery kit and attached some loops to the holes so now they look like stiches, BOOM A QUICK COOL SHIRT. Now I wear this shirt out when its too cold for a nice black dress.
Another quick way to make shirts or jumpers more gothic is to cut the collar off creating a nice off the shoulder look, I searched up a YouTube video for this one so I wasn't accidentally ruining a perfectly good shirt.
Idea no3 is bleach designs, now please be very careful when doing this as bleach is dangerous to you and your furniture. Get a paint brush, bleach, water, 1 cup, and a cardboard Square to fit your shirt on. Put bleach into 1 cup and test its strength on a spare peace of fabric, if it is too strong add the water to dilute, now paint away! Its usually good to use a reference and draw a quick stencil on the shirt with chalk but just going in blind is cool too! Make sure to keep your shirt on that cardboard so the bleach doesn't leak through to the other side!!!!
These are just some ideas that I've already tried, In the next few weeks I'm going to try custom transfer paper designs, All you need is cling film, a printer, scissors, and an iron. Ill post about it when its done!!
Have fun fellow baby bats and remember this is for all genders and ages so be safe!!!!!!
