Devil may cry anime

I thought it started super cool but man it really fell off after episode 3 imo. Dante's character was ok but man it felt like he wasnt even the main character, plus he kept getting like captured and which was pretty jarring lol. And MANNN they done messed up Lady, completely screwed her if you ask me - the constant swearing felt like she was written by a 12 year old lol. I think the villain was ok tho, I didn't mind him.

Overall the animation was very good and the fights were sick but the whole show lacked that DMC feel. I also expected atleast more actual moves from the games to be pulled off by Dante (he didn't even do Stinger or Rainstorm!!). Plus the political allegories just felt a little forced, although I didnt really mind them (just not something that was ever present in the games yknow?). I probably won't watch season 2 whenever that comes out... yet another kind meh entry in the DMC franchise :/
