how to make a jacket less stiff and new feeling?

i bought a canvas jacket a little while ago, its really nice but its so stiff and new and it makes it so difficult to wear and it just looks off because of this. any tips to fix this?

(to note the jacket is 100 percent cotton and a dark grey)
