Happy International Day of Zero Waste, 30 March, 2025. 2025 Theme:
"Towards zero waste in fashion and textiles". This theme focuses on the
urgent need to take action to reduce the waste impact from the fashion
and textile sector and promote sustainability and circularity.
The
fashion industry’s current linear model of overproduction and
overconsumption has significant environmental and social impacts. Over
92 million tonnes of textile waste are generated annually and of course
it's bad.
Governments, businesses and individuals must all work
together to reduce waste, in this case in the fashion and textile
sector. Achieving zero waste requires active contributions from
governments, businesses, and consumers.
