Manga-My Escape

I'm a huge manga reader, granted work takes away my free time now ;-;

One of my first ever manga, was called the House of the Sun. I was in middle school back then and really related to the main character. Her dad was an ass, her mom did her own thing, I understood her feelings of wanting to escape to a new family. and ofc I'm a hopeless romantic so I was practically kicking and giggling when she got to live in her new home;

I really enjoyed the way they made her character though, she wasn't completely clueless, she didn't hold resentment to her parents, she understood life was hard. She found a way to cope with that. A way that both party's could be happy eventually through time.

I have grown since then, and now read whatever is trending or popular but sometimes i wish I could go back to when it was all so new to me,,, It wasn't about what's flashy, sexy or cool, it was connecting with how the character feels in that situation. 

How would I have reacted in that situation? and soon I day dreamed to a world of my own.
