The greatest as such would probably be the Iliad, but the best in my opinion would be either The Image of Dorian Grey or Crime and Punishment. Although my personal favourite is Neuromancer. And I'm also partial to Sun & Steel.

one of my all time fav reads, it follows a kid who a rough school life and an even rougher home life. The way the author wrote the narration is truly beautiful and its one of the few books that had an ending I genuinely enjoyed. :)

Heaven by Mieko Kawakami. the last few paragraphs are some of the most beautiful ever bestowed upon fiction. it’s one of the most sensitive portrayals of adolescence and bullying. i thought it depicted the dichotomy between good and evil with so much more nuance than “this person is bad, this person is an angel”. it just felt like “these characters are human, even the bullies” without excusing the evil acts done to the main characters. every reread makes me a little more emotional than the last and i haven’t stopped thinking about it since i first read it.
