i want to make a matcha cake. however matcha powder is expensive as fuck. so if i bought a premade matcha drink and a white cake mix and poured the drink into the mix instead of water or milk, would it taste like hot ass because i don't want it to taste like hot ass. i want it to taste like a good matcha cake

I don't see why it wouldn't work, water is just there to add moisture and any liquid like water is a base ingredient. Milk is the same, only difference is its fat content will give you a richer tasting cake.
