I have been struggling with my mental health since middle school, and I am now a sophomore in college. I suffer from MDD (which is common), But sometimes when I'm in an episode it gets harder and harder to control it. Obviously, I don't wanna die cause I haven't done it yet, but it's causing me a lot of stress in my life. School is stressing me out like crazy, my schedule is stressing me out like crazy, my overthinking and self-image stress me out like crazyand I can feel myself slowly moving to a huge breaking point. What makes it a little harder is that I have a hard time focusing. My brain is running at 1000 mph and I procrastinate a lot. Does anyone have some advice on how to improve, and what could make my life more fulfilling?

Yes! Thanks for responding! And no worries, I understand perfectly! I procrastinate a lot with getting things done, such as schoolwork, basic tasks, and achieving goals. I list down everything I want to do and try to go 1 by 1, But it's like once my mind pops up with another concept, I kind of jump to that rather than focusing on what I'm doing first. I catch it a lot of times, but it's really hard to try to stay focused on the first thing I was doing because my brain is just like, You'll never remember it if you don't do it now. You won't have time later if you don't do it now, so you should probably do it now, " and I fall for it every time.

One thing you could try if you find yourself going into a loop of wanting to do something different is... have you tried just adding those to the bottom of your to-do list? Oftentimes I find a physical to-do list is very useful for me, and if I think of something else I want/need to do, I put it on the list and I'll get to it later.

You could also go back and forth with your list--do the first item on the list, and then do one that you're really looking forward to. Then go back and do the new first item... so on and so forth?
