Hello!
Today I will be taking a brief look over monarchism in modern Greece for all those interested. The current heir is former Crown-Prince Paul of Greece, Prince of Denmark. Ever since the passing of his father, former King Constantine II of the Hellenes, Prince of Denmark in 2023 he leads the Greek part of the House of Glucksburg, unofficially making him King Paul II of the Hellenes. For a very long time there has been speculation over His Majesty seeking an entrance into Greek politics, however this has never been confirmed by Himself, rather stating that He may only return upon the direct wish of the people. As the motto of the Hellenic Royal Family states: "My Power the Love of the People". There had also been previous attempts at establishing a royalist party in Greece after the fall of the military-backed Junta in 1974, however they were deemed unconstituitional by the High Court. So far, the influence of moanrchism remains within the Southern provinces of the Peloponnese, such as Mani and Sparta, the very North of Greece, the clergy and a few outliers in the Northern suburbs of Athens.
I wish all my fellow monarchists a splendid restoration! ♔
