Alternative Video Hosting Sites?

Anything that I can embed into Spacehey as a Youtube alternative. I verily hesitate uploading anything from my personal account on Youtube nowadays because Youtube just, for unknown reasons, wiped my old videos off the faces of the Earth. They don't gather views but decided they need to clear up some space.

Here are the alternatives I considered but won't get into at least, not yet, so don't suggest me these or try convincing me:

  1. Dailymotion - seems mainstream
  2. Vimeo - seems mainstream
  3. Twitch - solely for livestream, nope, also mainstream
  4. Kick - see Twitch
  5. Rumble - does it embed? also no
  6. Odysee - give me a solid reason why also does it embed?
  7. Peertube - does it embed?
  8. vidlii - haven't tried it yet, does it embed?
  9. bitchute - does it embed?
  10. Try uploading to X / Bluesky - not just a video hosting site

to clarify what I meant by embed; I mean, I can paste it to my blogs, bulletins, and forum topics much like youtube in HTML. Thank you for the iframely suggestions!

i would avoid bitchute and vidlii because it's too problematic

twitch and kick are mainly for streaming, which is not close to video sharing

as for bluesky, there are some tiktok-styled apps for it

Ah, catbox.moe! I haven't reckon that I could upload and embed videos using that!

I'll definitely check out odysee! Too bad I wanted to check vidlii but I'm cautious of less moderated sites.

PeerTube is great if you can find an instance you like. It supports embedding, too. No idea how well 'cause I haven't tried.

I misinterpreted what you meant with embed. Look, most video sites don't have an embed feature because most social media sites do the "embedding" automatically.

Just use Iframely and embed whatever you want on here. That's what I do.

Thank you very much for this suggestion! I now have to pick which video hosting website iframely supports.
