has anyone done it before? if yes, could you share what cd did you use?
i have tried before - tried to burn music into philips CD-R and i even bought an external usb dvd drive to be able to do it, but the dvd drive doesn't recognize the empty cd which is the problem.
i have tried everything, but nothing works. so i want to see maybe someone has experience and can share it.

Does the drive recognize any other discs (CD or DVD)? How old is the CD-R and what happens when you insert it?

it does play other cds that already have something in them, i have tried - the dvd drive recognizes them.
whenever i try to burn the music into the cd, it asks me to put in the empty disc, but when i do nothing happens. it still shows that i should put in an empty cd.
the cd-r is not that old, maybe some months now, but i tried to burn music into them as soon as i bought them.

Weird, the disc might have an incompatible write speed or could be a driver issue. What model is the USB drive? Have you tried everything here?

This software is really great for burning audio cds. still works on modern windows too. Check to see if this application recognizes the blank cdr If not it could be the batch of cds or your burner.
