Has this site been forsaken?

As far as I am aware the dev is still around as he posted a bulletin when the site was down a month ago.

i don't think it's been completely abandoned because as far as i know if you report someone there actually is a chance they will get banned. i do think that the devs don't really care anymore, tho. if you go to layouts you can't even post anything, and it says it's "temporarily unavailable" but it's been like that for 8 months. i've been thinking about emailing the dev and asking if they ever  plan to continue work on the site.

I feel like that too. When I first joined in August of last year, It was fun but that fun feel suddenly faded for me in the last 2 months. I don't enjoy Spacehey anymore like I did for that brief period.  

I've recently been trying to come back the last couple of weeks and I was thinking the same thing.

As far as I know, An (the owner and creator) is like...in his early 20s by now, (22) and still in University, studying. It's said that he started SpaceHey as a fan/ pet project with his sister... so...

it really confuses me as to why you would think he would hire engineers, mod staff, marketing teams etc (and pay them a continuous monthly salary per yr), even after 5 yrs, when he's like...still in school, still young with no job yet or anything :/ Like where is he going to get that amount of  money for all that??, when most of the Community on here are comprised of kids and ie free based users? Or are you saying kids should steal their parents credit cards to donate - which is solicitation and can lead to lawsuits, jail time for AN etc.

Hey, now, people who haven't been around for very long might not know all these details. And we could use a couple of volunteer moderators at least, not to mention some kind of procedure for handing abandoned groups over to new leadership.
