My First Anime Quiz

1.) How often do you watch anime? (Daily, weekly, monthly, occasionally):   

Right now, it's daily, but when I am more busy weekly.

2.) What platform(s) do you primarily use to watch anime? (Streaming services, physical media, etc.):  

I like to watch anime on physical media, so DVDs, blu-ray, but I also have a Crunchyroll account I watch anime I don't own (yet!) on physical media. 

3.) When did you first start watching anime?  

Probably around 2007! I used to watch Naruto on Cartoon Network and my Dad introduced me to Sailor Moon.

4.) Do you prefer subbed or dubbed anime?  

Subbed, easily. But I also watch all media subbed no matter the language, I have some auditory processing issues. 

5.) What is your preferred anime genre? (Shonen, seinen, slice of life, romance, action, etc.):  

Mostly romance or slice of life, I like my anime wholesome. But some psychological anime like Serial Experiments Lain is up there.

Favorite Anime and Characters:  

6.) What is your favorite anime of all time?

Favourite anime has to be Nana, or My Dress Up Darling. But it is hard to pick just one honestly.

7.) What is your favorite anime character and why? 

Hmm, maybe Rei from Neon Genesis Evangelion. She is just so cool honestly. Also I love her design.

8.) Which anime character does you most identify with?  

Maybe Hachi from Nana.

 9.) What is the most memorable anime scene you've seen? 

The end of Evangelion's original series for sure.

Probably adaptations I think. 

11.) What is your opinion on long-running anime series with many episodes?  

I'll try and watch it, but I don't think even I have the time for it.

Both, but sometimes simple is just nice viewing.

YES. I have figures, manga, DVDs, blu-rays, fanbooks, keychains, soft toys etc.

Yup!

Some but don't watch often.

General Anime viewing Habits:  

1.) How often do you watch anime? (Daily, weekly, monthly, occasionally):   

I'm a very slow watcher so it depends. Plus, I don't really watch animes that were airing so I'll wait till they've finished airing (I either don't care about them or I just lack patience unless they caught my interest or it's the one that I've been waiting for so long that I'll tune weekly. Which is rare in my case.).

And besides, I only like old animes so it's unlikely that I'll get hyped or watch newer series.

2.) What platform(s) do you primarily use to watch anime? (Streaming services, physical media, etc.):  

Mostly pirating but sometimes YouTube. 

3.) When did you first start watching anime?  

By myself, it's 2018. Although I did watch anime on TV as a child, though.

4.) Do you prefer subbed or dubbed anime?  

Subbed. I used to watch dub (i only watched 2 animes in English & in another language in my childhood (won't tell what it is, sorry.)) but now, I mostly watch sub.

Don't have any preferences as long as they're good (I don't watch ecchi, harem & Isekais (fantasy). I avoid those.).

Princess Tutu! (Although it might change)

I'll list the ones from the top of my head (unordered)

That's all I guess. I'm obviously not including every single fave of mine lmao.

Richeh (witch hat atelier). I can't find any character that I love AND relate at the same time so she's the first ever character that I relate and favourite at the same time. (Because most of my all time favourites aren't that relatable on a deep level).

I can't think of anything at the moment.

Both. Just depends on how they'll execute it.

11.) What is your opinion on long-running anime series with many episodes?  

I don't mind them, although I don't like when they're TOO long. It feels like a slog or a chore if I'd ever watch those. And plus, I like finishing them off at my own pace. I sometimes do slack off/pause for those if I don't have the motivation, time and I pick those up if I want to finish those.

It depends. Although, I prefer complex storylines.
