Lyrically, I’ll always recommend Elliott Smith. Been listening to a lot of early Paramore too. Julien Baker has some incredible lyrics, too.

jeff rosenstock has been one of my favorite artists for a few years now. i like a lot of his music but i've been listening to his album Hellmode a lot recently. One of my favorite lyrics from him and one my favorite lyrics ever is "Fact and fiction, both depicted as the truth for profit, And all I have to understand is what I'm being told" it's from his song Head and i honestly love the meaning behind that whole song.
