tips on makeup??

Ok so:

- make sure to moisturize your face before applying any makeup 

- don’t feel like you have to do a full face every time you want to wear makeup, sometimes you can just put on some mascara and lip gloss and call it a day 

- practice on your arm! I like to practice applying my makeup on my forearm so I know how to bend and flex my wrist/move my hand around

it is imperative that you put sunscreen on before any foundation or foundation that isn't marketed as foundation like bb creams, skin tints, or concealers. there is foundation with sunscreen in it but that isn't going to be enough to protect your face. also cream blush, lipstick, and coloured lip balm are all formulated the same and you can use blush, highlighter, eyeliner, contour, and bronzer as eyeshadow

Look for a good eyeshadow primer!! I have oily eyelids and normally eyeshadow does NOT stay on my eyes or creases really easily lol, but a primer makes your eyeshadow stay on all day!! 

I also find that practicing when I'm about to shower takes away the pressure of it looking "good" and have had some of my most creative ideas from doing this! I always photograph it (even if it looks bad/messy), so I can practice doing that look with more time in the future. Eventually you get better at it, it just takes practice. 

I also like to draw out my makeup ideas so I can better visualize what I want to do and then try to recreate that on my eyes. You'll get a feel for technique as you do it more and more.
