so i've tried all the classics like "put your hair in a hat" and "keep it in a ponytail" but I still look and feel way too fem because of my hair. My mom's tr@nsph0bic as all hell so I need ideas for convincing her to let me get a "boy haircut" or at least cut my own hair at home :/

It took me forever to convince my mom and she pretty strict rules about it. You can cut it yourself. Wavy and curly hair is more forgiving for it being uneven. But you have to be careful with length tho. I don’t know. I only have experience with wavy hair. I can give more if you want lol.

Try looking for inspo on pinterest, and if you find one you like on someone who looks like they were born female, you can go up to her and be like "Look how pretty this girls hair is". I tried that one. Another thing is if you're active and do a lot of sports, you can say that short hair makes your sport easier, and that it doesnt get in your face as often. That was my main argument. If neither of these are possible, try "its so much more convenient to have short hair, I don't want to deal with taking so long to wash and dry it". That ones pretty universal. Good luck!
