Shallow hobbies

Is anyone out there like me that feels like their hobbies isn't actually hobbies.

Whenever someone would ask about my hobby I would reply with drawing but I'm not really into the art fandom. I can't even name a single artist I would remember. I do follow artist but it's like "oh, it's them" or "oh, I knew this artstyle from somewhere" but I never been a person that would be really serious about it. Sometimes I feel like the reason I only reply with drawing because it's the only "real" hobby that I actually do because most of the time I would waste my time doomscrolling or playing games.


I can't even call playing games my hobbies because I'm always mediocre regardless the game. Like I'm so average I feel like I'm an NPC (╥﹏╥)

At the end of the day, your hobbies are yours, you don't have to be part of a community or good at them to call them a hobby.

Is it an activity you can easily get into? Do you enjoy it? If so, then yes, it is most definitely a hobby! :D

For example I swim once a week, I'm not particularly good at it and I never speak to anyone at the pool, but I would still consider it a hobby because of how much I enjoy it!

Drawing and playing video games are great hobbies, but if you feel like you need other hobbies, there's nothing wrong with trying new things, even if you don't stick to them
