Tips For Those Who Aren't Photogenic?

I am not very photogenic and valentines day is coming up!! I want to take cute pics with my boyfriend but the camera always distorts my face and I seldom look like myself. The only thing I can do is take screen recordings of myself in video mode, and then screen shot the good frames. If any of you have tips I would rlly appreciate it!!

Or if you have the same problem as me tell me ur ways of dealing with it... I love hearing from people with the same problem lmao.

It depends on what you wanna do, you can find a way to take pictures in a way that you like or you could cover your face

Tips!!:

1. YOU CAN PRETEND IT'S 2020 AGAIN (wear a mask)

2. Test camera angles before taking photos

3. Find a cute picture for inspiration (probably on Pinterest) where your face would be turned away from the camera

4. Pretend to be distracted (pictures like this usually look good)

i HATE how i look in pictures and im not photogenic at all buttttt ,i managed to learn how to look better in pics ..  i think practicing poses and facial expressions beforehand can be rlly helpful , find the ones that fit you better ,  be confident in yourself , if you are enjoying yourself , your face will show it .

make sure you are under good light ,

( making the camera a little blurry helps a lot to make you look better lol )

i dont have much tips but ig this might be helpful ???

Look at different lens attachments for your phone camera, or play with depth of field, different lenses work for different focal lengths and can cause distortion to features
Get comfortable being really weird and goofy in the mirror, It feels awkward, but learning every angle of your body helps when trying to minimize or accentuate different features.
There are a ton of photographers who share "pose" tutorials too that you can use for reference

It takes practice, especially when you are trying to do self portraits/selfies or timer delay photos. having a friend help pose you can feel awkward but does help get better angles, because they can see things you can't when you're focused on the camera
