I am a tree,
Rooted on the hill of regret casting my shadow far and wide.
I cannot move.
I stay calm, waiting for the sun to rise knowing i don't have leaves.
Watching the moon glimmer with love.
Birds refusing to nest amongst my branches for my looks.
Bugs finding shelter within my heart,
Slowly eating me from the inside.
Rabbits slowly chewing my bark to reveal the real me.
Though my shadow is preventing the growth of so many,
I cannot move.
If only i never sprouted.
A beautiful tree could've sprouted where i stand,
Spreading the love and care i couldn't.
