Old-School Animation Appreciation!

HI EVRYONE, let’s take a moment to appreciate that classic hand-drawn animation style that hits different compared to today’s CGI overload. Back in the day, every frame was literally drawn by hand, giving it that raw, sketchy, and fluid feel that modern animation just can’t replicate.

Before everything became digital, animators had to painstakingly draw each frame, layering background art with hand-painted cels to bring characters to life. The movement felt organic, the imperfections added charm, and the attention to detail was unreal. From exaggerated expressions to unique art styles, hand-drawn animation had a warmth that CGI often lacks.

Fast-forward to today, and while CGI has its place, you gotta admit there’s something magical about seeing movement that was carefully drawn frame by frame. Studios and indie creators still keep the tradition alive, but it’s getting rarer.

personally, I love watership down and plague dog. Def check them out if you have a sec to.
