Opinions on G5?

I know a lot of people don't like G5 but I think there are some good
aspects to it- like I think a majority can agree that the movie was
serviceable, if not decent.

I saw on Equestria Daily's Insta
account a whole bunch of storylines and concept art that was leaked
after the cancellation was made public. I feel like if it continued they
would have had a world that was thriving with life and lots of
potential. Especially since they would have added things that I think everyone still has questions on like the Bat Ponies.

I will admit I was not the biggest fan of the first
one two(??) chapters and the YT series but I really liked how Misty and
even Opaline(In the latter half) were shaping up to be.

I am a
fiend when it comes to content that has any relation to Discord and,
even though I wasn't a huge fan of the art direction of the comics, I
thought the Discord Arc was alright...

I really think they did
way too much at the start. They saw how G4's comics were super popular,
they had two different series running at the same time, and focused way
too much on incorporating and referencing a bunch of G4 things and
characters. They were trying to hard to fit this Generation into G4's
World.

tbh I don't have major issues with it, but i prefer the 3D series and movie over the 2D series, they have CHINS and are a bit ugly.

but the 3D series is watchable, but my problems were that the dragon designs are lazy, they just took the ponies 3D models and used on the dragons, and it looks bad (specially spike) and that Opaline is not that bright or "intimidating" i guess.

what i do like is that i can "remake" the story :) i redid Opaline (at least i think so lol) and changed to my liking. and i made a really big AU and that includes G5, but it's just for fun so it might not be the best thing ever.

but yeah, it can be fun and not that bad (if you're not crazy over inconsistencies that is) and probably a younger kid might like it, can't say for sure
