bland fashion

don't get me wrong, im totally all for being casual, simple or comfy!!!

but it feels like its so common in teen culture to normalize minimalist clothing, but maximalist styles or certain subculture styles are looked at as "weird".

(brands like lululemon, brandy Melville, uggs, nike tech, etc)

like why cant we normalize really expressing ourselves or making a statement with our clothing instead of making the most basic brands an expectation to fit into society...

“one in twelve people dresses alternative. the question is: how do we wake the other eleven?”

but seriously, people who dress basic do so for several reasons. some are completely not into fashion and their looks. some are proud to be dressing basic, and some don’t care. some people are so boring that they have nothing to express, no agenda to push.

you can benefit from the current situation because great people stand out. but i would like to see the basic fashion change into something more classical for sure. i hate how most people dress today.

I feel like most people just don't have access to unique clothing stores anymore. For example, where I live, thrifting is not that much of a thing and there are no Hollister or even Hot Topics!

I would even say that, in my area at least, malls are slowly dying. I guess it could be because of online shopping and some other stuff but for real, 25$ for a cheap looking white transparent shirt should be illegal!!!

Plus, the mall experience really dropped since EVERY SINGLE shop sells the same things. Where is the originality :(
