i truly dont see why god would send anyone who doesnt believe them to hell.

this idea that some people have of "people who don't follow god will go to hell", there are just so many flaws with this idea.

let's say, for example, this idea was true for Christianity. That means depending on where you are born your spot in heaven or hell is predetermined. take Armenia, for example, 97% of the citizens are Christians, but just for the "crime" of being born in the Maldives, you can automatically be condemned to hell because the amount of Christians is only about 0.1%.

idk I just feel like a god would prefer for someone to make helping others a priority rather than  their faith.

(I'm agnostic btw)

My idea is... if God is forgiving and loving, wouldn't he just realize that misbelief as an honest mistake, or something?

Well.. god forgives anyone we should debunk this myth because as a former christian i think that the lord doesn’t care what do you believe and what not, as long as you chase your own happiness and repent for your sins you’re good.. again its just my point of view because sometimes i do question as well the same theory about forgv

You used Christianity as an example in your question, but I'm Muslim and thought I'd throw in my two cents.

The straight answer is no. Literally false, god doesn't judge everyone with the same scale. This doesn't even just apply to non belivers, it applies to Muslims as well. For instance if you didn't know that gambling is a sin god isn't necessarily judging you on that, but would judge you if you lashed out at people because of a loss and other things.

When I was little I asked the same question to my dad, What happens to those living in secluded mountains or uncontacted islands. He said they're judged by the rules they chose for themselves, and on general morals (don't steal, lie, pillage, harm other) etc. but God wouldn't judge them for not praying or not fasting because they didn't know.

Humans are judged by what they know. and there are non believers in god that will enter heaven based on their kindness and principle alone.
