nonfiction book club?

hi!! american here, living thru the horrors and all that. i'm trying to read up in preparation if you know what i mean, and i've amassed a number of nonfiction books over the years about social issues, activism, psychology, women's studies, queer studies, memoirs, etc. i have trouble holding myself accountable to finishing nonfiction books, but i don't know many people irl that also want to read about these things, so would anybody like to start a nonfic book club reading these topics?

i'm currently 50% of the way through class matters: where we stand by bell hooks, and i plan on moving onto a few of her other titles after, such as feminism is for everybody (a shorter read) and will to change: men, masculinity, and love.

a few others i'm most interested to get into include never silent: act up and my life in activism by peter staley, for the love of men by liz plank, when god was a woman by merlin stone, this nonviolent stuff'll get you killed: how guns made the civil rights movement possible by charles cobb jr, and the autobiography of malcolm x.

if you are reading this and have already read those titles, consider forming a book club with me and/or feel free to post some discussion below just for funsies! (im open to joining/creating a discord server for this as well)

OH MY GOD. HELLO??? HI!!

I love non fiction. I understand the horrors . i usually read non fiction about ecology and nature but definitely want to start reading up for Events at Hand. I recently read "Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich," by Norman Ohler, which was fantastic if not colorful(if you read it i wouldn't expect any sympathy for drug-users, "junkie" is one of Ohler's favorite words). nevertheless, insightful into the way Hitlers drug use affected the war. i actually just added "this nonviolent stuff'll get you killed" to my goodreads want to read on the first of the month LOL. I've read the manifesto obviously, and am now interested in reading "revolutionary suicide" by huey p. newton but i haven't gotten my hands on it yet. definitely interested in chatting about non fiction!!! :]
