Vampire bats are extremely social creatures. When a member of their colony hasn't had enough to eat, one will regurgitate blood for another! That way, no one starves!

spix macaws, the birds that the movie rio was based on, are getting reintroduced after being considered extinct in the wild for years! there is currently a program in brazil running and theyve made a lot of progress
