I was very much into midwest emo when I was in high school. The typical ones everyone says such as The Front Bottoms and Ajj are amazing, Popular in the scene for a reason. If you havent listened to either, I personally feel the "Talon of the Hawk" album by TFB, and "People Who Eat People are the Luckiest People in the World" by Ajj is a good start for them both, but for Ajj I started with their "Christmas Island" album.
