I have questions on manual cars, i just got my first one but ever time I ask someone I get different answers.

1. Does it actually matter if I ride the clutch? Like If I'm at a light and I hold down the clutch is it gonna blow up my car.

2. Does it matter if I half punch the clutch in or not? I see in videos where people press the clutch halfway and shift faster than pushing it all the way but I also heard that it ruins your throw bearings idk.

1. I would say no, just be sure that the clutch is all the way to the floor. But it dosen't hurt to put the car in neutral and letting go of the clutch when standing at a red light, and letting go of the clutch is a lot easier on the leg

2. Half punching the clutch probably varies from car to car if you can do that but in general you should just push the clutch all the way to the floor, otherwise you risk burning out the clutch prematurely.

After driving manual for sometime and getting the hang of it so that it's like second nature you could probably experiment with diffrent techniques for example like rev matching.
