What your eyes can not see
May not be what you see
In chemistry,
We are taught that everything we see is from light
And that without light, how can we be so sure the color remains intact?
No one can confirm it as no one can see it
But to feel
It feels the same
It tastes the same
It seems the same
Oh by your eyes do not speak
How color changes a person’s personality
A wave forces a tide
Tectonic plates create lands
Curious, yet it doesn’t speak
Caught in a bear trap like a fox
Hunted by dogs and hunters
Skinned alive of my flesh
It seems so natural.
Like it’s normal.
Like it’s just simply using what’s there?
Like it’s what you see?
oh, but can your eyes listen?
Read the words off my lips?
Watch the waves and moon cycle for it’s daily changes?
Watch the warning signs of a deadly fire?
Watch the lingering decay as the flower slowly bends, wilts, and crumbles?
Can it truly?
The colors are changing and it’s leaving me blinded
But sometimes they fade from the oncoming darkness
The clouds that float over my head
The rain dropping down yet never daring to touch me.
But it’s dark.
So can you see it?
Or was it really ever there?
