hey hey! i'd like to ramble about something i've found interest in recently-- sm's girl groups between the debuts of s.e.s and snsd. more specifically: m.i.l.k. and csjh the grace. information about them is somewhat hard to find (at least, in my sphere of the interwebs), but they should totally be known!!!

m.i.l.k. (2001)

according to what i've been able to find, this is sm's second girl group. they only released one album, shown above with 13 songs. however, a member left before the release of their next album, and they haven't had a comeback since. supposedly, snsd's debut song was supposed to go to them as part of their comeback! i adore their song reason, it has such a fresh sound, like a rainy spring day.
csjh the grace (2005)

supposedly, they were the sister group to dbsk! and i have to say now-- their harmonies and skills are so. beautiful-- i love their deeper voices! from what i found, it seemed as if their popularity went up and down through their active years, and then quietly fizzled out towards the end of the decade. dana & sunday formed their own unit of the group and released a single in 2011, but then that was it.

i seriously wish sm would do more with their hidden discographies; surely they'd be fairly popular nowadays with the resurgence of 2000s trends and nostalgia. there's a couple of other girl groups sm promoted at the time which were under subsidiaries, too. i think m.i.l.k. might have been as well? but i've had conflicting answers on that.
do give these groups a listen and some love!!! and tell me what you think of them. until next time~
