Hey I am like level 40 so I am somewhat new, I am barely able to A rank songs with my best team, and obviously can't S rank anything. I am wondering if rn my best play is to level up a team that is all from the same type and group so I can hopefully start S ranking stuff or if I should continue to spread my resources to all my characters. Also do y'all think it is a good idea to FC every song on easy, medium, and hard rn or should I wait till I can S rank. I ask bc easy and medium are very boring to me so idk if I should wait or just do it now to help with progression rn.

hii ! you need to increase your talent to score s ranks, you should be able to hit it around 180 - 220k. yes you should level a team of same group + type/attribute.
you also need to level up the area items around your sekais and the plants in each school - this is why it's good to do same group and same attri, because you'll get a bonus if every card in the team is the same attribute.
if you s rank a song, it's s ranked on all difficulties. so you don't need to fc every song on easy and medium if you don't want to! they only give coins, but you may want to do them in future if you find yourself running low on coins xD (you will run out, area items are so expensive)
because only hard/expert/master gives crystals personally those are the only ones i play if i'm not grinding coins
another note is the large talent range is because your score will vary from song to song. shorter songs give more score (this is why it's meta to play short songs like hitorinbo envy, bless your breath and cendrillon for your challenge live!). so if you want to hit s rank earlier, try shorter songs
lastlyy sorry i'm such a yapper but there's no need to force yourself to do anything "for progression" in this game. there's no competition outside of tiering and ranked match so like, just play what you think is fun~ after you can consistently get s ranks that's all you really need for maximum crystals

ahh nice I didn't realize you only needed S rank on one difficulty that is a huge relief. I also didn't know that about short songs being better for challenge rank, I'm guessing it just helps you level up each characters rank on that mode faster (I never really cared about challenge rank except for the daily gems but ig I should). thank you for yapping you cleared up my question :D

challenge live is very good if you need to grind crystals, per character you can get over 3k crystals if you score close to or at 1m. past 1m i don't think it gives crystals
the rank of the challenge live itself is more negligible but you should still do it every day :D easy crystals, especially at lower ranks when the exp requirement to rank up is lower
