1/7/25: chest

i prefer to hit chest at my college gym because it has free benches, but its hours are weird because of winter break, so i had to go to planet fitness. i also won't be able to bench on thursday because i work while it's open. :(

1. incline bench press (smith machine):
95x10, 135x7, 165x4 > 115x3
2. machine pec fly
80x12, 100x12, 150x11 > 130x2
3. tricep overhead extensions
50x14, 70x14, 120x9 > 90x4
4. tricep pushdowns
70x16, 100x10, 150x7 > 130x2
5. machine shoulder press
100x10, 120x10, 165x10 > 135x0 (hit complete failure before my dropset)
6. dumbbell lat raise
15x12, 17.5x12, 25x11 > 20x4

all of my training logs will look something like this; i do two warmup sets and then one dropset, with both the initial set and the drop to absolute failure. this is a new method i'm trying this year. also i do ppl

compared to my chest day last week, i improved on every lift besides tricep pushdowns where i had an identical last set. still pretty happy tho
