Hopeless

About to graduate with a BFA in Fine Arts and very hopeless about my future jobs right now. I keep asking what does a BFA give me and I can't get a straight answer from any of my professors or mentors. I don't wanna be a gallery artist. I don't wanna be a graphic designer, I don't wanna do anything except to become a tattoo artist (ideal plan) or work an easy but boring 9 to 5 and do art on the side (realistic plan). Has anybody else ever gone through this? How did you cope and how did things turn out for you in the end?

Im having the same thoughts and Im my first year of my illustration BA.

Its hard to imagine there being ANY art-related jobs openings in the future but I get through it by telling myself that everything will be ok. Worst-case scenario for me would be to become an art teacher or have art just be a side hustle. I try not to think about the future and just remember that whatever happens, I will be ok, and ill survive.

Not much help ik but that's just how I cope lol

I can't really speak on the art aspect but in terms of when shit didn't pan out to my original plan? Talking to people and having friends connecting through linked in, however way you can network I think helped me out a lot when I was getting back up on my feet. It's always who you know.
