I have knew the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise for most of my life, I don't really remember not knowing Sonic. The oldest memory I have of Sonic is that my grandma went on a vacation with my uncle so me, my sister, and my parents had to take care of their pets, this is relevant to the story because my uncle had a Playstation 3 and my parents let me play with it the last day so I won't annoy them on whatever they were doing. It didn't really have that much games but I remember it having Sonic CD. I played it for like an hour until we had to go. Since I was very young (6 years old I believe), my father was checking I didn't do anything bad while I was playing, so he noticed I liked the game. Some weeks later I got my first Sonic game and it was Shadow The Hedgehog. I played it a lot even though I didn't know what to do, I remember loving that game. I played it so much that the disc broke.

this isn't rlly when I met sonic, but its my first core memory of sonic. When I was in the fifth grade everyone in my class and their grandmas were starting to watch anime, and I honestly didn't rlly care that much for it (especially cause all the shows they were watching were absolute buttcheeks) but i wanted to be cool so I looked through all the anime available on netflix kids. After trying and failing to get into all the stuff everyone else was watching I gave up and went back to my regular stuff (youtube comic dubs). So a while later I was looking for a show to watch and sonic x shows up on my reccomended because its technically anime so yk, so I decide to try it out and see how I like it. This sparked my first ever hyperfixation on a piece of media- I would refuse to do anything else or watch anything else other than sonic x. This is rlly funny to me looking back, because I HATE action shows/movies/comics/etc.., they just don't appeal to me- and as a kid I would skip through all the action in the episodes (which means most of the episode tbh). One of the reasons I ADORED this show was because of sonic and amy, and during one of my many, many rewatches I wrote down ALL OF THE EPISODES WITH A SLIVER OF SONAMY IN THEM on a piece of paper and I would just rewatch them. over and over. Im upset netflix only had seasons 1 and 2 because baby me wouldve loved tails and cosmo.

don't know how old i was probably like 5 or 6 but my older brother had a plastic baggy or something with a bunch of sonic figures in it and i would go into his room just to look at them, but i don't think i even knew the characters i just liked looking at them. some time later i'd started watching Sonic X on Saturday mornings and i guess i've just known of it since then. never really played any games for myself until recently except for like sonic and sega all stars racing on the wii but i don't even think that counts.

i watched the sonic movies like feb last year
yeah not an overly exciting story
but i really liked those movies if u couldnt tell

I had played the first few levels of the genesis games before, but watching the second movie really got me into the franchise <3333

when I was ten, someone at my summer camp wanted to rp sonic with me but they had to explain to me what sonic was first lol

My dad in like 2010's?? thought "huh, lets get an old Sega geneses and Atari and give it to my kids for sum reason??" and it had like pre-set game on there which was sonic 1, sonic 2, sonic pinball, and sonic and knuckles. i played them a few times but i recently got into it heavily because of the movies but the Sega geneses got me first interested
