I agree, the amount of new drivers coming into this season does seem a bit too much, but I feel it's because of the lack of F2 callups for quite a while which as lead to a large changing in the hands, with a lot of the talents who joined in F1 in the 2010s getting older, the teams really have to look to F2 for the replacements...
Depends on how well it works of course, F2 2018 Top 3 drivers in the standings; Russell, Norris and Albon have their established careers in F1 now, also including Piastri as champion as well as Tsunoda where as other recent callups in Latifi, De Vries Schumacher and Mazepin have suffered, genuinely it will go either way and I feel it will be the case for this season, 3 will do well, 3 will suffer.
I agree, Tsunoda has progressed a lot in AlphaTauri/Racing Bulls to earn his chance in Formula One, I think it's too soon for Lawson and can probably be as damaging as Albon's call up. There was a less incenetive for Red Bull to promote Yuki than Liam since they are switching to Ford very soon after all...
Interesting to see how 2025 will be, race product wise, and contract wise for a lot of drivers...
