How can I be a gyaru?

Hi everyone!!! I am not a gyaru right now but I really love the style and I really reallyyy want to be one but I wonder how. Do I have to do a heavy makeup and wear heavy nails to be a gyaru? because I am in a christian school so I cannot do all that. PLEASE HELP ME!
