what got u into the fandom??

My gateway into the fandom funnily enough was My little pony friendship is magic. I was like really obsessed with that show especially the character designs I would always imagine myself in the world of the show as a pony talking to the characters. after I grew up and got into watching YouTube.despite having really bigoted and hatefully views for like a year I eventually grew a soft spot for The Fandom after watching a video of a seemingly normal convention and seeing how kind and pretty cool the community was. I especially admired how willing the fandom is too just apologetically be themselves. realizing this helped me get out of my hatefully mindset and inspired me to engage with the fandom on a deeper level.

I have been a furry since 2009!! I used to watch speed paints on YouTube back then and that's what's made me creative too (●´ω｀●)

I really got interested when I met some furrys who showed me what the fandom really was. Though long before this I was making furry OCs and playing Kaiju Paradise.

i actually have no idea how i got into being a furry, but i definitely grew up on the internet and was exposed to furry media, although not to a huge extent. then came me being accused of being a furry, which led to years worth of denial before i ended up accepting that i was a furry. it didnt help that i was literally bringing warrior cats books to school and was considered one of them weird art kids LOLLLLL. i ended up accepting that part of myself at around 2022? 2023? definitely not old.

i'm gonna be real and say spite xD even though i was around a lot of the content at a young age (sfw thankfully) i never was "in the fandom" until i heard some of my family members say they were all weird and horrible so i decided to start saying i was one to stun them and it eventually lead me to fall down the rabbit hole of the fandom

me, personally, ive never grew up wth anti furry worlview so i got into the fandom pretty peacefully. i saw bunch of pony creators in early 2010s n watched them constantly before finding a pony creator. then i have not have a normal day in my life lol ( ｡•ㅅ•｡)~✧

I always drawed furrys when I was younger but I never knew the fandom existed until I saw some animation memes on YouTube, and when I discovered more I began to know I was a furry xD

there's a furry youtuber called awta who's vids of them making fun of antifurries was my gateway. also pocari roo, betadetaelota, stormi the wolf and nightzy. i also used to watch some furry animation content before i was in the fandom 

sonic. it was sonic. i made a sonic oc that quickly just became a non-sonic, furry oc that i used as my fursona for awhile. by the time i made that oc i had realized that being a furry wasnt anything bad and that it was quite literally no different than what i was doing with my portal oc's and portal-sona. so i then decided to just be a furry x3

I think I've always just been a furry at heart, but I started considering myself to be a furry when I was eight years old (which would now have been 7 years ago!!), after discovering the 'human pup' subculture on YouTube. (As you can already probably tell, I had early access to the internet from a very young age LOL!) Anyways, I was interested in what it was, so I decided to do a deep dive into what it was and I eventually ran into a video that had furries in it as well, and I remember feeling like I had discovered a new planet. Now that I look back at it, I find it such a miracle that I found out who I was and where my people were at such a young age, it was just such a cool experience. To be honest, I don't even know how I didn't find out about the furry fandom sooner, because I would watch a lot of furry-related animation memes beforehand. 

A small crush on a guy from a Team Fortress 2 server a decade ago.  Now Im just a full ass furry now
