fun project

hey party people.

wanted to share a project i'm thinking about starting since i think it could be something fun for other people to try too.

essentially, the gist is taking an old chunky laptop and popping it open, replacing it's internals with a Raspberry Pi. the one problem i've run into trying to revitalize old PCs is either a 32-bit architecture making the installation of a modern Linux distro challenging - or the hardware simply can't handle a more up-to-date OS. security is important, so i'm wary to put something not receiving security updates on the open net.

but if you could take the guts of a raspberry pi - add some hats to it to potentially make use of the peripheral ports on a machine, then you might just have something pretty neato.

what do y'all think?
