for me, i was raised by it. my whole family collects vinyl, we have a collection of over 1,000 records!! i only got into cds cuz 1. i LOVE the little booklets. and 2. i don't really have any way to listen to music other than spotify or youtube.

when I was really young I was obsessed with pokemon, so one day I was at a thrift store and I found some pokemon DVDs, and I've been collecting physical media ever since.

I started getting into it about a year ago, I visit op shops every now and again and if i find a movie that's very nostalgic to me, I'll buy it! A lot of my physical media collection is nostalgia motivated and have a need to peserve the songs, and movies I love <3

honestly i've always loved cds, and i used to burn them all the time with my family. But the thing that got me into collecting cds was this very tiny record store i saw while on a school trip. i went there, and i spent like an hour chatting with the owner. it was so fun. i bought my first two cds there and i've been collecting ever since.
