really lame title for lifty and shifty hcs

HI i said i would write this so. yea. i will eventually write about the others but i wanted to write my hcs for lint and sint bc they are very important to me. thumbs up emoji . also please note that these are MY headcanons and thoughts, don't like, dont read. dont like, dont bother.  

SO basically. lifty and shifty are orphans, left by their mother when they were babies. they lived in an orphanage until they were about 16 when they ran away and started living in an apartment (that they broke into). lifty and shifty never had the best start in the orphanage though..  
not really given names, lifty and shifty used to be just called l and s. lifty was the hated of the two though, not to say shifty was loved, he was never really liked either, just kinda. tolerated i guess. 

lifty has autism (and later on ptsd (not like flippy though) and bipolar), and doesn't really get along with people easily. which led to him being bullied the fuck out of. he gets really angry easily and is sort of prone to being a little violent. shifty has adhd and depression. like his brother, he also can get angry easily, but not violent. just angry. he kind of protected lifty in a way when they were young, because he knows lifty was an easy target. especially to the adults, who never liked dealing with both of them, but especially lifty. lifty was constantly made fun of by kids and adults, very rarely one would actually interact with him. shifty was constantly under pressure to "be cool" and stop being with his brother, because they believed they would all like him more if he wasn't associated with lifty. shifty never listened though, because he'd rather die than be seperated from him.  lifty has diabetes (type 1. please dont make jokes about it /gen) and shifty has vitiligo (though mostly i believe that it shows up way more in my human design).

lifty was born female, but never really liked being called a girl or feeling like one. he always looked up to his brother, who was born male.. so he just. kinda started identifying that way. he wouldnt dare tell anyone aside from shifty though, who accepted him. shifty was born male but never really cared. as they grow up they realise theyre aroace. (i know a lot of people are going to flame me for that one.) there was one other queer teen at the orphanage but they weren't accepted, and even mocked by staff. nobody knows what happened to them. so shifty never said anything. it was hard not to call lifty his brother to others though, saying sister didnt feel right to him. but its all they knew him by, just the fake persona.

as i mentioned before, they were bullied. lifty had it the hardest though, because he was more different than the rest (even though to shifty he wasn't all that different, hell he was different too.) of the kids, and they both constantly fought with other kids getting them in trouble. lifty started cutting himself when he was like around 9-10. it was relieving him in a way, but shifty never learned it until some kid made fun of his scars. that was when he was 14. he worried day and night about it. shifty was heartbroken about it, because he loves his brother so much. his life is incomplete without him. lifty didn't have the will to live though. he thought shifty was just being a lier. he stopped though when they ran away from the orphanage, though. he doesn't wear bandages or long sleeves to hide them (unlike my oc hua who does). shifty and lifty were sometimes beat for causing trouble by the adults, which wasn't rare for any other kid either.

they never really both had meals to eat, especially because food at the orphanage sucked. which led to shifty's disordered eating, and because lifty had very specific tastes. they both enjoy meat, but lifty can't have a lot of it (bc of his diabetes). lifty was always also given extra food from shifty because he felt he never deserved it. when he did eat, he was grateful but disappointed in himself for eating. shifty was also afraid of food in some cases too, because he felt it was the case for why his brother couldn't eat a lot. he's managed it since then though.

they both escaped the orphanage when they were 16 though, running off and breaking into an apartment. they dont pay rent. yes they have the keys. (it was a dead guy's apartment lol.) they slowly gained the skills to steal and commit crimes in their teen years at the orphanage, which was even more enhanced now that they were free to do what they wanted. there they learned their love for jewels and money, which made them feel safe.

i swear i had more, i guess i just need to write them down. i dont pull out information fast enough haha (theyre all in my brain which is genuinely where i keep a lot of hcs safe /gen ) but when i remember them, ill update this !
