Things that help me so it'll probably help you.
Spells
Try not to do spells because you can, do a spell because you have a clear goal and purpose. Once you start feeling really comfy with your spells, do whatever you want with them! Speaking of spells, for me, some great beginner spells are just simple good luck spells or blessings! Here I'll drop a general good luck spell that I know. But please remember basics like cleaning/Cleansing your spell work tools and space. Give offerings if you can. And don't do a spell if you have doubt about it working or if it goes against your morals. ALWAYS PRACTICE FIRE SAFETY
Moon water
- Get DRINKABLE/SAFE water and put it in a bottle, with a lid on top.
- Leave it out on the night of a full moon.
- pick it up in the moring and do whatever you want with it!
Alters
Alters are a bit tricker, those depend on the deities that you choose and are hard to hind. So I wont touch up on it much other than clean them regularly (especially right before spell work) and choose a deity or deities that work best for you. If you are looking to hind them a great place would be in those nook and crannies no one really cares about in you home. Usually people have shelfs for them but you can use stands, shelfs, book shelfs, desks, chairs, boxes, etc. Also you don't have to have an alter. You can always do spell work outside. Or in your mind.
Activities
Also try to get in touch with nature and the elements. A lot of witchcraft ties into paganism so get in touch with your pagan roots. I've noticed that I have better luck with spells when I ask for blessings from the deities my ancestors prayed too. Or if you can't find the one best for you, you can always get default to the elements/ sun and moon. they will always be there for you no matter what name or figure cultures choose to represent them with. Go on hikes, practice kindness, and socialize (if you are comfortable to). Make sure that you know who you are and what you want, even if you are still discovering things about yourself.
