2000's style in 2024/2025

What's your guys opinion on dressing 2000's in these times + some tips?

so, I've been trying to find my style for years now, I've been coquette, I've been grunge, I've been indie, etc. but none of them seemed right for me, but then I realized based on my features and the clothes I'm comfortable with, I think y2k fits me the most.

unfortunately, I'm not sure where to start. I've thrifted and looked on various sites but I'm not exactly sure what to buy first, I have flared jeans and some blinged shirts but I don't wanna go too over the top but at the same time I wanna go all out? like I want it to be known that's my style, but not do too much.

what do you guys think?

If we're talking about actual 2000s fashion here, then there's no such thing as "too over the top". People wore crazy and fun outfits back then, whether it was something as simple as a shirt with a pair of low rise jeans and sneakers (which I guess is pretty "normal" unless you're also wearing tons of accessories like multiple necklaces and/or shag bands) to things like layered tank tops, dresses over jeans, and hell, even dresses and skirts over leggings (which I only recently learned stopped being a "thing" at some point during the 2010s, but that clearly isn't stopping me from still pulling off this look anyways).

The 2000s were the last fun decade for fashion before the stupid contemporary minimalism plague took over in the 2010s.
