I'd much rather prefer face to face than online, mostly because the learning process isn't as engaging as when you go in person, but curious to know how you guys feel about it. :3

I agree I think that's what messed me up for my major. I had the beginner courses online and felt like I didn't learn jack shit. I just relied on good ol reliable sources

Definitely in-person learning because it reduces procrastination, and your brain functions better when you have a professor speaking in front of you. You're also able to engage with other classmates and meet new friends.Β

Online classes are goated but can suck as its hard to remeber deadlines when you don't physically attend the class. In person is good but there are days where I can't seem to get out of bed and in those cases then in person sucks. Also Idk abt y'all but at my school its more expensive to take online classes rather than in person classes.Β

online classes remind me too much of highschool covid days, so it gives me bad vibes. i also wouldnt do anything if i had online classes. my college offers so little online classes for my major that i have to take 8ams tho T_T

Definitely face-to-face, I haven't met anyone that prefers otherwise lol, otherwise I just get very easily distracted

i rarely if ever attend in person these days. i get very overwhelmed by noisy and visually crowded environments (autism), so i rather watch the recordings from home or book a study spot. i feel like i can't focus when i attend in person and struggle to get a good overview of the lecture. when i watch recordings/study from home, i can pause anytime and write more meaningful notes. plus, i get to decide my own schedule.

I like having a mix of both. My college has face-to-face offered for all classes, but there are some where you can pick between the two, which I feel like could be a good option for commuter students or just people who live off-campus in general.
I've taken just a couple online, and I enjoyed doing that. I didn't feel like I really missed out on any course content that I would have gotten in-person.

I'm so happy to see that I'm not alone in preferring in-person classes T^T
I know that when I did do online classes, I struggled so much with remembering actually to do the work and attend the meetings. There literally wasn't any solid way for me to genuinely remember XD

I prefer in person classes. I like the collaboration and real time discussion that can come with being in person. Right now I am talking an art history course and previously I tried taking the course online. It was horrible, just reading the online textbook then opening the Canvas page to reply to a discussion post where no one would reply back to you. I think online classes tend to be primarily taken by people who don't desire to communicate a lot or who just want to knock out the credit, which makes sense.Β
I also take a lot of art classes and having an online art class isn't impossible but having an opportunity for shared space while working in a class and an instructor able to give you feedback as you create your art is a game changer. It's also pretty handy for getting supplies as in my experience people like to share if they are able to. Anyone who is into art knows art supplies can get pricy so thats nice. I go to a pretty small campus though so that probably impacts my answers alot.Β

In person all the way! I think the downsides would be when you have a class that's really huge, it feels impersonal to the point where I would rather study online. But when the class size is small, I feel like the prof/students get to know one another and cultivate a really fun classroom environment.Β
