Ermmmm so I record music with an audio interface (which are usually hella expensive) and electric instruments that i plug in to the interface which connects to my Mac that I use GarageBand with. GarageBand is my savior I swear lmao, but fr if you have the right equipment recording can be super fun and rewarding
If you need interface recommendations or recording software recs as well I can give you a few
If you’re on a budget and cannot get an audio interface or anything like that I recommend using voice memos, you’re not gonna get the same type or quality of recording but hey, whatever works right

You can get a DAW(Digital Audio Workspace) And headphones and record your guitar and voice with the microphone in your computer or get a cheap microphone that plugs right into the usb. You can do a lot to clean up rough recordings digitally. You can also get virtual instruments and plugins and stuff to accompany you and your guitar. In this day and age YOU can be the whole band!! I wish you much luck and truth to your dreams! If you make anything, send it or post it I'd love to check it out!
