getting back into plant parenthood?

title says most of it. if u want the longer story, for as long as i can remember ive loved plants and they've made me happy. unfortunately, around 7 years ago, i started to become too disabled to care for them. many died while my doctors were trying to find out what was wrong, but luckily they have gotten a treatment regimen that's working for now!!

so, any tips on starting again?
easy plants that can take a few days before watering if i can't physically?
Ways to make repotting easier?
Honestly? any tips on making plant care less labor intensive or time consuming in general would be so so apreciated

I'm so sorry to hear about your declining health, but I'm also glad to hear you're trying to get back into plants!

I'm pretty new to this as well, but I had major depressive episodes a few years back and was able to help one plant absolutely thrive; MINT!

Put it in a room with decent to good sunlight, a room you're in frequently, and keep it in a container that can hold a little bit of water.

I was gifted the roots of a mint plant when I first moved out, put it in my bedroom window, and really rarely watered it. When I did, I didn't know something as simple as over-watering can kill a plant, so every other week I'd drench the poor thing until the next time I remembered. With my depression, I went to work and then my bedroom, so I'd spend a lot of time around the plant too.

By almost a year later, it was massive. It needed a 1' x 1' pot, it had little vines growing from it from the windowsill to the floor, and it smelled so divine. Plus, it's mint, so sometimes I'd take a little nibble!

I'm unsure of your lifestyle nor the animals you have, so definitely do some research before a purchase, but based off of my own research mint is great to fight moisture that caused SFG/Mold in homes too. Doesn't prevent it from happening, but it did amazing in my crummy apartment.
