whenever i try to upload a profile picture, it consistently fails. this issue is extremely frustrating at the moment. any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Was having issues with that as well.
My problem was that the photo file size was too large, compressing it seemed to work. Took about a minute to update and then it was good to go.
