i'm also a huge enjoyer of canine poetry! i wrote a really solid canine poem a couple of months ago for uni and it's still one of my favourites that i've ever written. outside of that, i'm really into cannibalistic imagery, exploring temperature as a poetic device, and honestly, i recommend looking into the senses past the core five. i have notes on that if you want me to look for them :)
