most of the time, i listen to outside music instead of in-game music while playing.

a long time ago, i used to listen to a lot of chime while playing (strangely fit the vibes of splatoon a lot, and the fact most of their music doesn't have lyrics makes focusing easier). but nowadays, i play whatever i'm in the mood for.

if you listen to outside music while playing as well, what artists are usually part of your playlist? or, if you prefer to listen to the in-game music, which mode has the best music?

i think the pvp modes have the best music, but that's kind of only because you can get to hear it a lot more LOL. octoplush & free association both are gr8 bands, but (most of) the singleplayer/sordr lvls r so short that you dont really get in-game time to savor their music outside of the jukebox. omega-3's music is great but i do prefer the battle music more, but thats just my personal preference. tableturf can be considered pvp but im not counting it in that category since its more of a multiplayer minigame, but the music in there is super cute, i sometimes pop the deckbuilding/card collection theme into the jukebox in the lobby. in terms of best battle music (since theres a whoooole ton of bands in there rather than just 1 or 2), i love you, yoko & the gold bazookas...
