hi! it's been a while since I've been on spacehey but I decided to make a post!
hopefully this isn't off topic or anything like that (feel free to remove post if so)
everything in my life has changed due to liking 2000s kpop.
from fashion to overall aesthetic and understanding of music.
maybe because of my autism, but I have gotten super into collecting cds and other merch
overall I feel very joyous since discovering 1st/2nd gen kpop
what is your take on this?

hello! a lot's changed for me too, i think, in a good way. the somewhat more electronic sound of later 2000s kpop is one i've always found nostalgic (because it's close to what i heard all the time when i was younger), but also totally fresh since there were so many songs i'd never listened to before. it sort of helped me to grow out of my nostalgia and more into my own interests, especially in regards to the internet and old web, strangely.
and while everything definitely wasn't perfect and i don't view that era with rose-tinted glasses anymore, i am glad to have a greater understanding of it.
i'd say i'm pretty happy too. i'd be totally different if i never discovered kpop music at all, really.

it’s kinda similar for me too, ive been more open to different music + the fashion and makeup/styles of this era is something I look up to and would LOVE to dress as !
only downside is that im always nostalgic listening to the songs from that time and realizing that it will never happen again and i missed out …but also happy that a lot of things changed from then !!!
