Your opinions please.

I watched most of S1 and tbh I think it's okay. I like how they portray Lloyd there, the characters from Chima uni, the trope of looking for missing ninjas, Percy and all that

And I'm especially in love with Jay lore, tho I wish we've seen more of his times as an agent

But I also get it why some people don't like it. They really changed much and I also don't like some of it, but that's what fan content is for, right? I can ignore what I don't like and/or pretend it diesn't exist XD

Honestly, Dragons Rising has actually surpassed most of Ninjago in terms of quality and storytelling

Hm! Not sure if I’ve heard someone say that before, but I respect your opinion! I will say, there are some things that DR does well, but overall I prefer the original styles.

I totally agree with you. As an original Ninjago fan who has been watching since childhood, everything feels out of place. Don’t get me wrong—the quality is much better compared to the older seasons, and I appreciate how they saved Jay (not that I thought Jay was bad, by the way i mean as a chracter). However, it all feels so sudden, and I really dislike how they’ve shortened the screen time of other characters. 

I especially hate how much the original ninjas' time together has been reduced. I understand they are meant to be separated due to the merge, but it just doesn’t feel right. 

I know I may come across as ungrateful, and I don’t mean to— I love Ninjago with my whole heart. It shaped my childhood and my sense of humor. While I might be a bit frustrated with Dragons Rising, I still appreciate that the show is continuing.

I COMPLETELY agree with pretty much everything you just said!! I definitely feel like the fact the original ninja aren’t shown much and the fact that they’re not together is one of the main reasons it feels weird. 

Another thing I think makes this season feel weird, and, frankly, I don’t like this either, is the way the writers seem to push the ‘new’ characters too much into the spotlight. I know we’ve had PLENTY of seasons where the original ninja are the main characters, but we’ve also  had a good amount of seasons where there were ‘new’ characters. Unlike Dragons Rising, however, in THOSE seasons, the ‘new’ character isn’t shoved into the spotlight so harshly. Take Benthomar as an example!

The ‘new’ characters in Dragons Rising are great, but I feel like they are too prioritized. Especially Arin. I didn’t really like him from the start, and he’s just felt very forced as a character..

i agree that dragon rising is not as good as the old seasons but i still respect people who like dragon rising more than the old seasons because its their opinion and people should not call them "new gen" or say they havent even watched the original because you never know until you ask and and they shouldnt judge them for that
