You gatekeep bands and what's the valid reason?

UPDATE: IF YOU DON'T LIKE GATEKEEPING REPLY THIS FORUM SOMETHING LIKE "Why you can't let people listen to music" AS IF WE'RE GATEKEEPING EVERY MUSIC WE COULD FIND WHEN WE'RE NOT.

 YOU DIDN'T EVEN COMPREHEND OR READ THIS FORUM POST PROPERLY AND WERE STRAIGHTWAY, WHINING WHEN IT'S OUT OF THE TOPIC.

I ADVISED YOU TO LEAVE THIS FORUM ALONE.

For me: I had this band that I could not share with you because I gatekeep. Ik this band has a respectful small fanbase (I did read a fanfic of them once, only for critique purposes...) And this band can't be familiar with TikTok so I already assumed that I discovered an underground band.

They do deserve the recognition respectfully. BUT NOT in a certain way how modern mainstream media would treat it 

Cuz I DO NOT LIKE LARGER FANBASE OR GETTING IT TIKTOKIFIED. (I'm sorry)

The thing with bigger fandom. They can get toxic, they have weird vibes, or sometimes they might cause a lot of unnecessary drama and controversies that revolve around them is just SOO infuriating.

This is why I gatekeep that band that I loved. It's a huge target for fandoms to go mess around in the worst way possible. Why? They have been a Halloween-themed band since the late or mid-2000s because of their uniqueness. I do wanna share my fav band at my own risk... And I would possibly know they might get trendy at any moment hearing a cringe as fan-edit of their music. But it's nothing I could do... Let alone be like this

Tiktokification should be a thing when it comes to music...
